Trying to be a happy generalist trying to do good for the world. My efforts on this in reverse-chronological order:
- AI Governance research (icfg.eu), recruiter at a hardware startup (Fathom Radiant), co-founder of AI Safety Turkiye
- MA in Quantitative Methods in Social Sciences in Columbia University. BS in Industrial Engineering and Psychology in Sabanci University.
- Lived in New York, Warsaw, Hong Kong and Istanbul. Traveled to many more <3
- Published two novels in Turkish. My second novel, Ancient Man, is available in English. Brewing new stuff.
- Published a children’s book, Kendi Yolunda, as a non-profit project with “uncommon” characters like a female sea captain, a male kindergarten teacher. 3rd round of print in 2024! DM me for collaborations.
- Following most of the philosophy I gained through 80,000 Hours to do the most good in my life.
- On-and-off podcast, The Generalist, on Spotify (currently off)
- Addicted to running – also dancing but it’s more manageable. Trying to adopt a habit for strength exercises.
- Love photography, used to do more seriously, now only during traveling – and love traveling / digital nomading.

- Favorite book: 1984, favorite dessert: ice cream, Harry Potter > LOTR (but love both)
- Born in Corum, super small city, has some cool ruins and a local snack: ‘leblebi’ (a.k.a. my nickname in all games)
